How to keep it simple

Keep it simple. Remember that  two great masters of language, William Shakespeare and James Joyce, wrote sentences which were almost childlike where their subjects were most profound. “To be or not to be?” asks Shakespeare’s Hamlet. The longest word is three letters long. — Kurt Vonnegut

I was thinking about the above observation yesterday as I came upon this simple artifact—see the image below (coincidentally while riding my own bicycle).

My 2¢:
Keep it simple—tell short stories focused around simple ideas, expressed with simple images.
But don’t forget that:

a. Simplicity is not about less effort. Simplicity is all about the right effort.
b. Emotion is the mother of action. Human beings tend to move when their emotions are moved.
It’s easy to forget that :-).
