A Curious Luxury
You know that grown, successful people have an almost irrepressible urge to lead.
To be the one who sets the direction, who keeps a firm hand on the wheel.
And there’s nothing wrong with that.
But it’s curious how easily we forget something else: how wonderfully comforting, even liberating, it can feel for those same people to have someone lead them in some corner of their lives.
That is, actually, one of the more underrated luxuries.
So if you ever doubt whether your leadership in a corner of life you know well is necessary and will be well received, perhaps try to recall how wonderfully comforting, even liberating, it feels to have someone lead you in some corner of your life.
