Because good design creates visibility.
And visibility invites trial.
And trial invites advocacy.
Of course, trial invites advocacy only if the product/service in question adds genuine value for the user.
Advocacy
noun
1. Active support of an idea or cause etc.
2. The act of pleading or arguing in favor of something
Advocacy = word of mouth marketing.
Case in point: The ergonomic iSlice box cutter.
My 2¢: If you were shopping for a box cutter, would you consider the ergonomic iSlice box cutter? Why?
