This just in: Only their holes taste the same

I recently watched an interesting video presentation by Ji Lee – now Creative Director of Google Creative Lab, about a simple yet great idea he created for the makers of Cheerios cereal. In short, while working at an advertising agency (before his current position at Google), Ji was given an assignment to come up with a promo to remind people that Cheerios are available in five different flavours. He summarized his simple yet brilliant idea with the above picture.

My 2¢: Simplicity is not about less effort. Simplicity is all about the right effort. It’s easy to forget that.
